Chelsea (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

What explanation, enshrined in the LotG, persuades the ref that the foul on Doku wan't a foul and therefore not a pen?
Or, in the first half, the Chelsea attack just after the ref fell over. Rodri is just barged into, knocking him over, with the ball nowhere near. The player is then free to shoot. How was that not a foul ?

The Matchday Thread is a good laugh, some people take it far too seriously. There are some slightly over the top comments but they're done in the heat of the moment and it will be a shitter game if you take away the passion. People were calling for Pep's head a few games back, but they didn't genuinely mean it, they were just venting in one moment in time and given a bit of distance from the game they'd probably give their heads a wobble. It's what's great about football.

Long live the Matchday Thread....and all the loons.
"some"?
"slightly" over the top comments?

The match threads are like Burger King; full of whoppers.

I'd rather watch the game.

Been away in Majorca (Cala d'or) the last week, found a huge bar to watch yesterday, it was outside but under cover, windy wet and cold (been sunny the whole week). Me and the missus were the only ones in in the first half, and by half time, I was feeling a bit sorry for the three staff who were keeping it open just so I could watch, and was thinking of going, then a young family came in just as the second half was starting. They sat down to watch, fully expected them to be supporting Chelsea, until we scored haha, and we all cheered.

Great display from the boys, Cherki, Nico, Mark, and Khus were brilliant, well the whole team were really, but they stood out most.

Great way to end a good holiday, especially after spurs lost.

Another game of two halves, almost a carbon copy of Liv game, seemed to struggle for the first 30-35 minutes, seeing Rodri taking positions on the right for some reason gave me flashback of that game when Gundo neded up on the right and bombed. And then somehow, the same as in Live game, we snatched control from them and all things aligned.
It is incredible that we are actually in title race and might actually end up with treble, unbelievable Jeff!

It's not us ''struggling'', it's classic Rope-a-dope from Pep.

Cherki was sensational second half

Fingers crossed on Nico as he is making those midfield goal contributions that win titles…. Oh wait, he’s a left back; that kid is a Yaya incarnate

Nail those bastardos next week and we do it, certain
Strangely Yaya was in the stands yesterday.....

Had a cheap week in Cala D'or a few years ago. Turned out to be one of my favourite holidays ever. Lovely place.

Reminds me of times gone by, as a boy standing on the terraces listening to the old codgers moaning about everything. Quite a lot of it makes me chu

Ive seen him and his son at most games home and away.

He doesn’t sit with a car rug over his knees and clap politely when we score. I think those that show no passion are the weirdos.

And I’ve seen plenty of them over the years

Started going to football regularly just before I was 16, so around Christmas 1977 into January 1978. Kidderminster Harriers, non league, about 15 - 20 of us in our little mob. Stood behind the goal, and moved around to stand behind the other goal second half.
Sometimes it rained so we stood in the stand with all the old codgers. Some liked us and were great, some not so much.
Loads of them made no sound, maybe clapped a bit or mumbled to themselves.
Some repeated the same stock phrase "Kick it up" was one. That guy never said anything else - winning or losing.
We couldn't wait for the rain to stop. Didn't understand it then and don't now.
