Chelsea (a) post match thread

Wasn't he suspended for some of those?
The first ten? Nope. Might not have played in the second leg against Steaua but he definitely played the other 9. First suspensions were for the double yellow in the second BMG game and the push on Fabregas, then he got sent off just after New Year for that two footer against Burnley. Not too impressed with the 8 matches he's missed there either as well as performances.

I think we should be looking at bringing in a first choice player in his position in the summer, it'll either make him pull his socks up and get back to the player he used to be or we'll have a player that's better than he currently is, win-win.

Would have could have should have. The best teams create their own luck, I'd be happy coming away with three points we didn't deserve. Pep will come good but he should pull his finger out and start being pragmatic.
Our team is full of soft pussies ATM, Only Vinny and Delph stuck in tonight. Will be interesting to see who replaces the likes of Zab and Yaya next season.

Just got on the train. Talking to a few Chelsea fans, their opinion was we were by far the best team they have played and we should have won. On a positive Delph had a good game but again full backs were shocking
Well the Chavs you spoke to saw it exactly as I saw it. We were by far the better team, but grit and determination ultimately won the day. We lost, we move on to secure a CL place and try to win the FA Cup.

Another trip to their place and another loss.

Agree with some, tonight seemed a bit pellegrini, navas and Clichy left to be the creative individuals on too many occasions. Sane kept tucking in which wound me up. Kdb really needs to drop deep against teams who park the bus and ping balls to the corners, when yaya isn't playing.

They played like a traditional Italian team, strong defensively, compact and organised. It's boring but effective, especially when you have an outlet like hazard and the rejuvenated Pedro and especially against a high line like ours.

It's going to the same on Saturday against hull and I hope Pep has a trick up his sleave to counter it.

All valid points and components, but it forgets the most important figure in what HAD changed us from losers to winners; Tevez.

What an absolute Fu*ker to play against he was. The guy was just a winner, a total cold blooded killer. Did not care what shirt he had on or what side of the city he played for, he would bleed for the fans and carry his team over the line. Brought United AND city titles in the closing stages of the season two years in a row
Absolute elite mentality who would not EVER give in. What I would do for a prime Tevez in this Pep regime

excellent post , we lack a killer instinct and a bit of devilment , Tevez was the perfect example of a winner , we have to develop our young players to have a passion and pride in wearing the shirt .
