Chelsea(A) - Post Match Thread

No need to tell you where this came from :)

"No one has really tested City's defence yet. The one team who could got their most potent attacker sent off, and Chelsea lost Morata early today.
I agree they are a good team, but Guardiola has been incredibly lucky so far.

I was one of the first to think that Guardiola's arrival will change things, but I genuinely don't think this City side is all that good. They attack with width and numbers, and were luring Chelsea out before exploiting spaces. They have very few players who can win the ball back without fouling, and they leave huge spaces behind when they attack. I am sure Mourinho will have a plan to stop them, and we will get the space behind their full backs on the counter. I am confident we can beat City.

It's matching the flukey wins against Liverpool and Chelsea that is going to be a problem. Mourinho needs to be at his best.

Dont suppose there are ant lurking rags on here tonight but if you are - that post smacks of desperation Bwahahahahahaahaha
What these knownowts don't realise is that when we lose the ball, every player from the strikers, through midfield, to the back line, become defenders. We defend as a team. Same with the attacks. They start with the goalie and the centre backs and come through the midfield to the strike force. We defend and attack as a team, that is exactly why we can have 3 frontline payers out injured and still win convincingly.

There's only one player I've seen retain possession better than Silva & that was Nasri.... I think you're unnecessarily trying to drag misery from the jaws of an impressive win mate..

Lets wait and see haha. I m trying to read him. Trying to understand Pep, isnt that worth. David is excellent in his own terms but he belongs to a different mind set. Its in the mind, Pep wants players who thinks like him.

People are very slow to change cherished beliefs, even when the evidence against becomes overwhelming. Personally, I think the longer the media (and other teams) underestimate us, the better.

I know what you mean with cherished beliefs, I still count the days down until we get to 40 points :)

I found the analysis of City from Gerrard in particular, very amusing, apart from the obvious disappointment, which was hilarious in itself.

'Dis is wot dey do' talking about the fullbacks moving into midfield & KDB Silva moving into wide positions with Sterling, Sané etc.

Except 'dis isn't wot dey do' it just happens to be 'wot dey did' today.

It could have been the fullbacks providing the width on another day or 3 at the back & wingbacks.

Love the idea Gerrard thinks he has a handle on the way Pep sets his teams up.
