I found the analysis of City from Gerrard in particular, very amusing, apart from the obvious disappointment, which was hilarious in itself.

'Dis is wot dey do' talking about the fullbacks moving into midfield & KDB Silva moving into wide positions with Sterling, Sané etc.

Except 'dis isn't wot dey do' it just happens to be 'wot dey did' today.

It could have been the fullbacks providing the width on another day or 3 at the back & wingbacks.

Love the idea Gerrard thinks he has a handle on the way Pep sets his teams up.

With his stunning insight into the game, I can't wait for him to take over the reins at Candlepool.

I love him, but he had a fair few detractors early on this season. I remember one specific little "discussion" about him earlier this season.

Some people only see the hardliners, while some of us understand who and what breaks down other teams so we can allow the headliners the ball to play. Fernandinho plays CB, CM, CAM and covers both full backs ALL FUCKING GAME, yet some people don't see him on the score sheet and call him bang average! Joke!

Top top player was brilliant today.

We were quite brilliant today. This is the way we should play every week . the press was superb, pity we didn't get the other couple of goals our play deserved. A big well done to all.

As I was watching that I had a strange feeling. I was enjoying the way we were playing so much I almost wasn't thinking about the result. I was just enjoying witnessing a masterclass. Total. Football. Class.

Just a mention for the Ref, Atkinson: Chelsea 13 fouls, no yellows. City 8 fouls, 2 yellows. Some things don't change.

The ref was blatantly shite. They should have three yellows 1st half.
Shocking performances-and never caused us to even blink - hahahah
