I'd go with the following:

Ederson
Walker Otamendi Stones Delph
KDB Dinho Silva
Sterling Jesus Sane

We need to stretch the play and and both Sterling and Sane have the legs to track back and help out the full backs if need be. Equally Jesus is very good at dropping back and winning the ball when he needs to. We also can be deadly on the counter attack with this team. If needs be you can bring on Danilo for Sterling and man mark Hazard.

I am not convinced Aguero would have started against Chelsea regardless. Mendy is a miss but Danilo is a player, I really rate him and we could possibly be more secure at the back with him in. Assuming we have no other "issue" I'm pretty confident the shite we have had this week doesn't change an awful lot for this game. I'm a glass half full type of guy.
Are you sure your a City fan, ha ha

Kun out gives us the chance to use an addition central midfielder next to Fernandinho, which actually might be a good thing against Chelsea. We could go with Danilo as left back and Delph next to Dinho, or the other way around. Another option might be Gündogan next to Dinho in CM, and either one of Danilo or Delph as fullback. With Sane, Jesus and Sterling up front we will have lots of pace. I think we have a good chance.

As we have seen Raheem and Sane are quite capable of bagging a hatful this season, never mind Jesus.

If Chelsea lost Morata they have only one understudy. Spurs similarly with Kane. Only United have 3 number 9s.

We just man up and get on with it.

For me the LB problem is more of an issue. But we bought Danilo for his alleged ability to play both sides. Let's see if he can.
From what I have seen he can't. He looks to be a reasonable right full but poor on the left.

He's done absolutely nothing in his 120 minutes on the left to suggest he's a poor left back, so that's just nonsense.

At worst he was not as natural an attacker as Mendy because he's right footed, and hesitated to cross first time on his left, but he's certainly more of an attacking threat from full back and natural wide player than Delph.

Most likely Aguero will not play againt Chelsea. Hopefully, his recovery will be quick (shorter than the speculated 2 months). Would be great to see Sané from start again, predicting line up to look something like this:

Ederson
Danilo Stones Otamendi
Fernandinho
Walker KDB Gundogan(Silva) Silva (Sané)
Jesus Sterling

It's gonna be the toughest game yet for City. Chelsea played good against Atletico in CL, so there is no room for error. The boys and Pep will probably go for possesion hoping to breakup the Chelsea bus. Walker and Danilo are gonna have to work hard against Hazard and Fernandinho have lock down the area infront of Stones and co.

Score?
It could go either way, but I say CHE 1 - 2 CITY

Agreed with this line-up. If Aguero was available, I think we'd go with three at the back but now this looks most likely (only possible difference would be Bernardo for Sterling).

Big test for Walker against Hazard
