Yep, team pretty much picks itself for me. Only possible question mark is Sane or Mahrez.

Ederson
Walker
Stones
Laporte
Delph
Fernandinho
D Silva
B Silva
Sterling
Sane
Jesus

That’s the line up I have as well. Think Mahrez sits this one out. For him to play would mean Sterling on the left. I know this has been Pep’s preferred set up in the big games but with Mendy out it’s useless to have Sterling on the left. Zin/Delph never overlap and Sterling rarely goes down the byline, usually he looks to cut in, making it easier for defenders to stop him. When Mendy overlaps defenders don’t know whether to press Mendy for the cross or Sterling for the cut in. Making the attack unpredictable.

The derby. Fans were out for blood.

Don’t see the logic in it personally. We weaken the side two fold by moving Sterling.
I'm thinking of a derby too.

I think we might see Sterling in the middle and Sane and Mahrez out wide. Jesus can't score in a brothel at the minute, it just depends whether Pep values his work rate to try and put their defence under pressure.

Didn’t we rotate between Jesus & Sterling all afternoon? It was a frontb3 of Jesus, Sterling & Sané wasn’t it?

I don’t think we ever look as good with an inverted winger.

I was referencing the home derby where the pressure took its toll on Sterling.

Had a quick look on their forums, and they don’t seem very optimistic about their chances tomorrow. Personally I think it will be pretty close.

Me too. If Aguero was fit I would give us the edge but as he isn't, as you say close.

No, Jesus played primarily from the left. The front 3 may have switched, but no more than normal.

I personally wouldn’t veer from Sané & Sterling wide with Jesus through the middle.
We have a frankly incredible record with that front three.
We also get to keep players in their best positions.

If De Bruyne was fit, you could consider Bernardo or Dave as s false 9.
But I don’t see why, the team excels with Jesus up top.

Yeah, no Aguero or De Bruyne for us, coupled with no injuries for them and home advantage, make it a difficult challenge. Hopefully we’ll still have too much for them, but 3/1 for the home win seems pretty generous in the circumstances.
