Well, for all the people who were bitching and crying for pre-Kun 4-5-1 formation - you get your wish and today you will get a chance to see how unproductive and BORING that formation is.

I am predicting switch back to 4-5-2 at the half.

One-striker formations are so f-ing dull that I'm also predicting almost ZERO good chances in front of their goal.

Especially since Kun IS NOT made out for lone striker in 4-5-1. He is simply not.

This is ludacris IMO, hope I'm wrong. If I am wrong - feel free to get at me at the half.
Jesus christ. At least give it a chance..

I did...at the time Tevez was here, and was a lone striker.

Trivia of the day: when did the "boring, boring City" chants come around?? When we played 4-5-1.

Just because your man is not playing you go off on a rant

It's a very flexible formation and can be very attacking.......silva will have a free roll here

I know it didnt work for them. But how about trying at the back what Madrid did in the first half today (they played Ramos as a makeshift DM + CB conduit).

Richards ---- Lescott/Garcia ---- Nastasic ---- Kolarov

Demichelis/Rodwell

Milner ---- Toure ----- Fernandinho/Nasri ---- Silva

Aguero

Also having 3 CB's allows the full backs to attack more freely from the flanks.
Ahaha. Good job listening to me Pellers.

Not sure what we should read into these comments?

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY - Chelsea v Man City (1600 GMT)
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho: "City are showing respect with the team they are playing. You don't need to play with all your strikers to create problems, they are keeping the midfield more compact.

"We have a different midfield, we don't have the physicality and we are on the search for our identity."

my honest opinion?

Mou's set up in anticipation of us playing 4-4-2 and may well regret it.

I hope this comes to fruition today, I'm optimistic.

That's how I feel. That this game might be tight and even a touch dull. But our superior firepower can snatch us a win.

You never know what can happen of course. One error, one fluke, one red card and the whole game changes.

Think the ref may have something to say if we go 4-5-2 at half time!!
But seriously, you cannot really believe you can go 2 up front regardless; just looked what happened v Bayern when we got swamped in midfield.
Chelski play with 5 in the middle which would create a similar problem at the Bridge.

Pretty happy with that side, would of been a huge mistake to go with a 4-4-2 against Chelsea away. Does show the lack of strength in depth in midfield though with Garcia having to play.

Also would have liked to see Kolarov or Richards start as there is very little width in that side.
