The simplest solution would be to postpone the rags game v Sunderland on 30 March and play it that weekend as Chelsea have no game.

Chelsea have Southampton away on March 31st!
Talk about after the horse has bolted, find it incredible that it's today the FA are having a meeting to decide on a date for a replay, sums the FA up or what !!!!! Won't be long until all ties will be decided on the day or maybe just from the 5th round to avoid fixture conjestions ...

I'm suprised that it's only Chelsea of the Europa entrants that qualified for the last 8 of the FA Cup. Liverpool, Spuds, Newcastle all qualified for the Europa League, plus the possibility of the 4 CL teams dropping into the competition. There could have been a few teams in this position.
Surely the FA should've foreseen this happening? In a way the FA have got lucky. Imagine if Boro v Chelsea was a draw? That'd be 2 games for Chelsea to squeeze in as they'd probably had their 5th round replay yesterday.
I think they'll cancel a set of league fixtures. All of this is good for us as a team though, although not for fans trying to make travel plans.
So true -the words "contingency arrangements" seem to be a foreign concept to the football brass.
