Are we playing on the counter today? Chelsea do like to control the ball these days, and the 2 DM’s with KDB as a 10 instead of an 8, with Raz and Ferran wide... we may end up letting them have the ball a bit more than we would usually do. It may not be the plan to counter more often, but I can see the game going that way. We have sacrificed a LOT of control today with no Gundogan, Stones, Zinchenko, Bernardo, Foden, even Mahrez has decent retention. So I reckon Chelsea have more possession than us.

It may be the plan to let them have it a bit more at the back, press high and live off their mistakes, especially in the first half hour. When we beat them at their place in the league, I remember them having higher possession stats than us in the early part of the game, which is unusual.

I would have thought a stronger line up as others think, but I can see Peps thinking.

If we are gonna have a chance at all trophies, he will rotate the squad more regularly than we expect and demand they perform, even if some fans think some of those players haven't earned it, Pep has, and I admire his faith.
