Chelsea fans throwing missiles from South Stand 3rd tier

I saw all sorts being being thrown by our fans when we were up in that second tier at Old Trafford in the 2010 EFL Cup semi.

Programmes, bottles, one of the backs off a seat.

I think we’re just used to well behaved fans like Burnley, Wycombe and Port Vale etc. being up in our third tier and not had many trips from the likes of Liverpool so it comes as a surprise when they act like they do.

On the whole most big club’s sets of fans are the same or have a large minority of nutters. We're no different, we have loads of nutcases following us. Away fans often comment on us being bad for throwing coins into the away section at the Etihad. I don’t think we’ve won a derby or game against Liverpool at the Etihad without throng a blue smoke bomb into the away end.

Rio Ferdinand got a cut eye when a City fan threw a coin at him once.
The Everton semi in the 80s when we had the top tier in their main stand was bad, I was on the front row and people were passing all sorts down to the front for us front rowers to accidentally knock items off the wall onto the Mickeys below. Different times back then.

I was in my usual place in 116 and there was a group of about 8 gobby Chelski dickheads giving it large in L2 and chucking stuff. After the third goal one in particular was spitting continuously the dirty ****. Personally I rather be hit with a coin/lighter/chair/brick than have some dirty bastards phlegm deposited on my head. This spitting (common assault in the eyes of the law) was in full view of stewards & police who did NOTHING to stop it. It was this spitting that enraged City fans which then sparked the Rent Boy chants in 116/117.

Meanwhile, there was a Blue early in the first half on the aisle between 116/117 who was complaining to a steward that his 8 year old lad had been hit by something chucked from above, he was greeted with a shrug of the shoulders and told to get back to his seat. Within a couple of minutes, a senior steward was despatched to find the COMPLAINANT, because he'd been overly aggressive towards the steward. Fucking shameful.

What the actual fuck is going on with our club?
When are the club going to stop pussying about and stand by OUR supporters?
When is OUR security going to be placed at a similar level to visiting supporters?
Why are large away followings (who have caused obvious disorder) allowed to leave at the same time as us?
Why is passive policing allowing CONTINUOUS law breaking & personal injury to occur without taking the culprits out?
Why is our club very quick to condemn its own supporters but say NOTHING about the behaviour of the away support?
If Henry fucking Winter has seen the throwing of objects and commented on it, where are the observations of City's OWN security team?

Just as importantly, why do we, as a supporter base, put up with this shit?
Stewards don't give a fuck about City fans.....Plenty are reds. Perhaps this is why?

Police and stewards have always treated us like shit.

... sadly, this is heading towards what another poster suggested in an earlier post. Write to the club and inform them that if you or any member of your party is injured (and being gobbed on is an injurious act, bearing in mind the amount of germs contained in said gob) as a result of decisions regarding the placement of away supporters in the ground, you will be taking legal action against MCFC for their incompetence.

Anybody choosing this option should make it perfectly clear via what they say in the letter that they are fully au fait with the layout of the south stand, but not give a name or a supporter number - because the way things are going (complain, and you're automatically in the wrong) season tickets will be withdrawn / "loyalty" points will start going walkabout.

Security definitely have it in for us...I've been on the receiving end of arrests initiated by City stewards and showsec etc. (for persistent standing or shouting stuff) Saying you're overly aggressive is a favourite accusation backed up by other stewards

One dwarfy senior City steward couldn't wait to get hold of my season card as I was in handcuffs. He's still there .

Some City stewards are great but far and few between in my experience.

If - in the fourth round Arsenal (who have knobs but luckily probably not as many as the scouser or Chelsea) also get the second and third tier than I think everybody in SS1 makes a concerted effort to send an email expressing their concern for their safety after previous examples, and therefore they want to be moved free of charge to another part of the ground.
City will struggle to do this but if they don't answer and then something happens they would be screwed legally as the individual who was 'hit' has pro-actively expressed their concern and City have been seen to do nothing about it
QUESTION
How much to put an advert in MEN (shit as it is) asking the club for more support in the fourth round? They would be utterly embarrassed if they don't do something then if the fans club together with some sort of advert discussing the missiles. It would also make the rest of the press sit up and pay more attention than some shitty song that 'hurt feelings'

I remember Beckham being hit with a pie and numerous other objects at Maine Rd when he was attempting to take a corner .
