Andros Townsend was an OK player.

OK players aren't gonna win us trophies. We need players that are better than OK.
 
Our lack of clean sheets has to cost us in some games, pretty sure the last 1-0 was the CL final.

The doom merchants. We had one of those games, which all teams have. On another day Haaland would have bagged 3 and we'd have won that comfortably. We could have had a couple of pens but i dont think any of the shouts were completely clear cut and probably not enough evidence to overturn the onfield decision
I think if they had been given pens on the field they wouldnt have been overturned either. Its two points lost but not a disaster and still plenty of twists and turns to come in the season. Both Arsenal and Liverpool will drop points. Its going to be close but we have the experience to see it through.

We were all a bit predictable for me and didn’t play that great. Kept going though. Got to start winning some of these games against better sides. Chelsea are better than their position for me.

I think they will do OK next season, agree with you.

In the meantime, it's pre 2008 and next week I'm going to be a Chelsea supporter. ( Probably hoping in vain for them to do the entire rational footy fraternity a favour and stop those infuriating Dippers on stage 1 of their 'quad').....

I am still trying to work out what exactly Walker was trying to accomplish out there today. Very poor all game I thought.
 
Pep said anything about Stones? Would have been better if he played. I guess just back from another injury.
 
A lot of tired legs out there tonight. Even so we played well in the second half, they rode their luck and relied on a cheating prick of a ref to stop us winning. The kicking our players got on Tuesday caught up with us. John Stones can’t play two game a week, Bernie was carrying an injury, maybe Oscar Bobb could have played, I bet he does against Brentford ? It’s done now, we didn’t lose and it’s still in our hands.

His shot led to our goal but he should be banned from crossing or shooting from long range or doing that give a winger 4 yards thing he keeps fucking doing
 
I don't put much faith in this xG guff. The only stat that really matters is the one in the top left corner of the screen. However...... No player this season has had a higher xG, and fail to score, than the lanky bloke this evening. On another day, we win that game 3-1.
 
We’ve always been at risk from counter-attacks Micah, statement of the obvious. It’s stood us in good stead thus far.
Actually think Carragher talking sense there.
