Confirmed what I've been saying since the summer. We're just not ready to go for the league yet. We're still in the title race until we're not, and there's a long way to go, but this is a new squad experiencing a lot of change and we're gonna have days where nothing clicks.

Thought Pep made a mistake starting O'Reilly - the kid had looked goosed for weeks and it was him being caught upfield and tired that resulted in Chelsea's goal. All the injuries coming at the same time as Afcon is hurting us as well. Just take that on the chin, finish as close to Arsenal as we can, and get ready for the title next season.

Cherki's final passes didn't come off either, but at least he tried - without him there'd be basically no chances at all. From the moment the 2nd half kicked off we knew what was coming. Our 2nd half performances have been beyond shite this season and with fatigue & injuries coming into it, can’t see it getting better anytime soon.

Overall played well. Rodri is a game changer and transformed us to control the game easily. Unfortunately Foden and Cherki decided to not pass or shoot properly today which resulted in being one lucky ball away from losing points.

What's our problem with the second halves of games. Is it a physical issue? Or, more likely, a mental block. I'm not sure too many would have been that surprised at the Chelsea goal. Yes they weren't great. But neither were we.

Player management, Rodri and our midfield looked dead the through balls to delap cut right through them was a telling sign of the the last 25mins or so

Another wank performance. Similar to Sunderland in the first 30 mins where we just didn't seem to have any shape and no clue how to attack.

Second half was yet again end to end where the combination of Bernardo, Foden and Cherki run in treacle. We desperately need legs in midfield if we aren't going to do the right things with the ball. Time and time again we were torn between trying to score and trying to see the game out only to give the ball away.

Chelsea were shite today, that goal they scored was absolutely disgraceful defending. The defensive line non existent, the midfield completely missing. And Bernardo's late opportunity to get the ball in the box but just kick it off the pitch summed the whole thing up.

Nothing came off for Foden or Cherki, and so their losses of possession were exposed.

Ake an old man when he came on, running through treacle. Been decent for us but needs moving on this month.

So who's coming in because Gvardiol is out a while and they're already thin there?

That was so bad in the second half. I really don’t know why we’re a game of two halves this season. Should have been out of sight in the first half.

Worst thing is it’s that horrible lot from London that have done it and one of the most horrible, dislikable players in the league that scored it.

Complacency up front, so much space and picking out the wrong passes. Every premier league team can hurt you and without our two main centre backs chances were going to come. But we should have had 3 by then.
