Chelsea by name only today, that was a mid table team at best we were up against and created fuck all.

Needed subs but Pep won’t trust anyone unless it’s 7-0 in the 90th minute.

Got what we deserved, not because of anything Chelsea did, but for that awful second half performance. You can’t coast and expect to be in a title race. Possibly our worst performance of the season in terms of effort.

That Chelsea side with that performance would have lost to most sides in the league today. They didn’t even turn up thinking they could get a point.

We're unlucky that Gonzo picked up his injury - but everyone could see it coming based on Rodders.
Sack the Semenyo deal and get a CMF in for stability in this side.
Can't carry on playing Cherki/Foden and Bernardo. We need a solid base these days with the players we have

Thanks to the lack of squad planning we are done in this title race. Foden and Cherki poor, Haaland poor finishing and everyone else just knackered. We probably win that if our main CBs stay on but there are no if, buts and maybes just absolutes. We should just aim to win the FA and EFL Cups from here on out.

I wouldn’t go as far as claiming we are done in a title race. Arsenal have to come to the Etihad and on that display if Cherki and Foden don’t have a nightmare game, then we will batter them.

What's our problem with the second halves of games. Is it a physical issue? Or, more likely, a mental block. I'm not sure too many would have been that surprised at the Chelsea goal. Yes they weren't great. But neither were we.

The bench today was horrible and now we've lost Dias and Gvardiol.... really awful

Nico missing was also massive, he should be back quickly but this game was crying out for him qhen Bernardo & Cherki couldn't move anymore

Sleepwalked our way to 2 dropped points after never looking in any trouble in the first half. That defence we finished with will end any hope we have of the title if it's on the pitch together again for much longer this season. Off days for Cherki, Foden didn't help us going forward either. Lots of promising positions wasted because slackness on the ball.

Not complicated. Teams typically play conservatively to conserve energy and let City have the ball. They're more willing to press and open up in second half. City struggles against pressure and game naturally is looser as teams fatigue.

We don't have the squad depth. Had to spam out the current 11 and everyone's looking dead on their feet and now a shit load of injuries. Talking about the title was incredibly naive. Lots of old/inadequate players still to leave. Top 4, big summer and maybe next season we can talk titles. I expect a big drop off this next month as we look exhausted rn.
