I know the line is "we're too stretched, the players are knackered", you know he is allowed to play some academy lads. We're desperate for legs in the middle, is there genuinely not one young lad coming through that can just give us a bit of running for the last ten in a game?

This excuse of players being tired, they're tired because the squad isn't being used.
 
No reason we didn’t have semenyo already in this team instead of letting him play 2 pointless games for Bournemouth whilst our squad struggles.

We clearly needed him yet the club are pissing around or he’s not coming.
 
City players looking like they are running with moonboots on ? Where has the fitness gone
Doku was on fire before the injury, and now looks like he is not ready to play 5 mintues

City needs 4 or 5 new players right now and get rid of Bobb Lewis Stones Kovacic Ake Phillips the 4th choice keeper because they are not even squad players, Stones Kovacic Lewis Bobb Phillips are the real reason why we are struggling because they are never fit or never play because they are not good enough

Look, nothing is won until we can not catch Arsenal, but right now, this City squad is dead on its feet and will lose more games after today showing

We miss KDB putting those long curved balls across their defence into his path and as a result he has little impact. Even when he scores it's not because we're playing to his strengths.

I’ve always thought that despite his number of goals. I would imagine he’s getting fed up feeding on scraps and forcing his chances. He makes so many great runs but our players just don’t see him.
 
Not good. Loads of chances to win it but our forward players combined to fuck it up. Defence also got weaker with the changes.

Onwards and upwards though.
 
When you look at Arsenal’s squad and the way they can rotate and just deal with injuries, we have pretty much a 0% chance of winning the title. Pep clearly felt the only chance we had was to spam the same team over and over again and just pray that nobody got injured or fatigued. In the short term it fooled some into thinking we were in the race. But it is a marathon not a sprint - a deep squad is needed and we just don’t have enough players that are good enough. As we enter a period of injury and tiredness now, we are going to slip far, far away from Arsenal. We are not at their level right now.
 
We drew that purely because of the state of the squad we are stretched beyond belief but yes let’s add another tricky winger to the squad that’s really what we need not like we are a centre half and 2 proper centre middle short or anything. Trying to hold out a game with that midfield is a disgrace.

What was unfair about it. Chelsea were the better team second half and the goal was coming all half I felt.
Didn't deserve to win when not many players performed well.

What were his subs? They're functionally down to 14-15 guys with injuries and AFCON. Going to put on Heskey or Mukasa in that situation? You could see guys were complete out of feet with two days rest. And they have to do it again Wednesday.
 
That's the problem with the squad planning falling off a cliff, we now need too many players all at the same time
 
Should have won - didn't.
Poor finishing and/or final passes and slow counter attacking cost City today.
Taking Rejinders off gave Chelsea more space in the middle of the park though we were more effective on the left.
 
Just knew they would nik that goal. Tbf we are holding on to Arsenals tailcoats. We dont have the quality in depth. Some awful decision making probably cost us the win. Positives : Rodri got through it and 3 trophies to go for unless Arsenal collapse big time.
