Chelsea now have a world class striker. This will be our biggest challenge of the season.

Win this and City win the league!

City 3 - 2 Chelsea

Chelsea to then help City by beating Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield.

higuain...world class....?> maybe 2 years ago..he's doing the usual burnt out euro guy route..
On the rare occasions I've seen him on TV I have not been impressed. I think "The General" and Kun will have quite a bit of knowledge of his abilities through their Internationals

Another game where the fans will make the difference. If we get the stadium rocking we will give the players that extra energy and drive to win the game as we did against the dippers. There were a few that looked tired during the Everton game. De Bruyne and Sterling having had a bit of a rest midweek will help energy levels and Bernardo should switch into a central position ahead of Silva to give extra energy as well which helps Fernandinho have more cover.

Liverpool got stunned by the atmosphere and occasion, Chelsea will do too. Beat them and the title race is definitely in our favour. I also have a feeling Bournemouth will get a result at Anfield. They're just the side to go and end an unbeaten run. Inconsistent and either absolute dross or nearly unplayable. Liverpool in the form they're in could get cut apart by Bournemouth if they play as they did v Chelsea. If we are only 1pt behind the diplers when we play Chelsea it's another huge incentive.

I absolutely agree about the atmosphere ... bring the Liverpool game energy on and off the field and what incentive to beat them ...

Whatever the result on Saturday between Liverpool against Bournemouth, we’d have a chance to go back to the top of the table and stay there for two weeks while they shit themselves looking at the table and preparing for their away trip to Old Trafford ...

I seriously think dropping off the domestic cups, especially the FA Cup was a blunder by them ... these long gaps on FA Cup weekends when they go two weeks without a game (like when they went away to Dubai at the end of January) and now this next weekend in mid-Feb would seriously damage them ... players rather be playing game in game out than training for weeks and looking at their rivals play on (and get points, or go further in cups) ... and that whole warm weather mid season break, I think hinders more than it helps, surely bodies relax going into 20-25° training camps than coming back to -2/-1° here ...

Napoli did it, they f’off-ed the Champions League last season in a bid to focus on the great chance they had of the Serie A title ... and look how it ended for them.

Only team that focused purely on the league and enjoyed not having any other cup runs or CL in parallel was Leicester but than that was an anomaly for so many different reasons ... squad size as large as theirs, all those new signings (remember: biggest spenders this summer) is just not the same as Leicester of 15/16!

Can't see Bournemouth getting anything without Brooks & Wilson
