Mendy will surely retire through injury soon. How many games has he actually played in the last two years?? He is out for months, plays 20-30 minutes and is injured again. Its a shame but his injury record is appalling. The latest one is a meniscus injury which could be another 6-8 weeks out.

Retire ? He's in the second year of what is probably a 5 year contract paying around 100k a week. Who's going to retire on that sort of money ? We've got another 3 years of him hanging around the periphery, clowning around on social media and with the odd indicator he may be close to a return to action. He won't play again this season so hopefully he can get fit for the start of next. However with his injury record it's going to use up circa £50million of our summer transfer budget to buy a new LB - money that we need to use elsewhere to strengthen.
 
The hate for Mendy is a bit stupid. What do you want him to do while injured, be depressed and never leave his house? People at Villa said they liked having Micah around even though he hadn't played a game for about 3 years.

I meant retired medically. There comes a point when his knees can't be healed and he will have to call it a day. Immensely sad if it happens but the way it is going it doesn't look great. I have no problem with him clowning about he is keeping his spirits up in what must be a frustrating time for him to say the least.

Dont think it's hate, just all a bit meh about his time at City so far.
It's not his fault he's injury prone but it's also not the fault of City fans if they get a bit bored of his social media stuff and want to see more of him actually playing.
Like i said, not his fault regarding the injuries but id like to see him live up to his promise on the field , the only place it matters.
