The problem is, Walker-Mahrez combo is a disaster defensively. It explains why Pep insists on playing Bernie on the right, as he's the most industrious City player that can compensate for Walker's 'defending'. So it's not solely about Mahrez.

I think the same choices are being made on the left, as Sterling is far more intelligent defensive player than Sane - even if he doesn't like that left flank.
 
Crowd does its job and ups the anti we go up a level....I must say tho I have a feeling Dean is going to ruin the day for us you just know he is

Yeah, it’s Pep being pragmatic, something his detractors always used to say he couldn’t do.
