I'm hoping you are wrong too but my nightmares keep telling me Fernandez and Caicedo as a solud block, simple ball into Palmer and then the pass to scythe through the latest incarnation of our defence to the much improved Jackson one on one with our goalie.

I like it but id still have Kovacic in next to him instead of kev or phil. We need as much solidity as we can get. Johnny boy on his own wont cut it

yeah possibly you are right...shift phil out to either wing....he didnt play well last night but his form has definitely improved over the last few games and Phil Foden playing anywhere near the level he can is an asset ....Shame Doku is injured as well

Maybe take phil out and Kova in there....Savio actually works hard defensively especially for someone who is new tot he league. Marmoush is a bit of an unknown in this area
 
I wonder will Pep prioritise the Brugge match over this one.
I know he goes all out to win all competitions but I wouldn't mind seeing McAtee or O Reilly actually starting and resting one or two of the senior players.

Gvardiol and Nunes on the same side ... Palmer in your fantasy league team, is he?
 
Be interesting to see whether the new defenders run backwards away from an attacker with the ball as quickly as Nunes and Gavrdiol do, or whether Pep will have to train them to do it...

Foden (lack of aggression) we don’t need someone who won’t put a tackle in a game so important.

Foden has great ability and can score goals but he’s still lacks a tackle of any discripton.
