Fucking 5:30pm in the middle of winter just for the twats sitting at home in the warmth.

They really do not give a shit about the match going fans.

Spot on mate. Total wankers who organise these things. Randomly adding in a 5.30pm kick off so they can squeeze in an extra game today. And the people who watch on TV who haven't been to a game in years get online counting empty seats...they can do one as well!

Shouldn't be kicking off at 17:30 in these conditions, should be one of 15:00 games.
I don’t want a late kick off on a Sunday either but “these conditions” ffs.

This country loses its mind every winter, it’s ridiculous.

It’s a bit chilly and we’ve had a few sprinkles of snow in some areas.

Wear a coat…

Champions:

11/12 - 8 points behind rags with 6 games to go
18/19 - 7 points behind Liverpool before the epic 2-1 win in early January
22/23 - 8 points behind Arsenal in middle of January

(all above after same number of games played)

Of course a loss today would be a huge blow. Not impossible though.

Indeed but I made the point that I don't think our current team is quite at the level yet to repeat those .

We're getting there and building another great squad but I don't think we can overturn that amount of points. Just my opinion.

Keep it tight and I think we'll break them. If the gap is 7+ points without around 15 games to go, I don't think we will manage it

I say it knowing what it will be like later with traffic, people falling in the dark around the ground.

It's more what happens around the ground and because of the weather as opposed to sitting there watching it or playing in it.

27 in a few days time. He's under contract until '28 with a 1 year option. I can see a wage increase demand in the summer (especially if they actually win something) with the likes of Real Madrid in his ear.
Arsenal paid over £100m for him and I can’t imagine they’d consider letting him go for less. I don’t think Real Madrid have that kind of money lying around unless they unload a few players.

We just don’t know the minerals of a lot of our current squad.

In 2012 we had fans who’d completely given up on the title after the Arsenal defeat with loads not even bothering turning up in the next game against West Brom and we had great players like Kompany Yaya DSilva and Agüero. In 2014 we had the recent experience of the 2012 run-in to give us the confidence that those players could pull it back again. In 2019 we had one of the best teams in Europe and the best midfield in Europe and had no doubt we could pull it back. In 2021 we had the best collection of midfielders ever seen in the sport (Fernandinho Rodri DSilva BSilva Gündoğan DeBruyne) and knew we could pull it back. In 2023 we had the best team in Europe and the experience of what we’d won in the previous 7 years as a base to give us confidence we could easily pull it back…

We have no idea what players being picked every week like Nunes, O’Reilly, Nico, Riejnders, Doku, Savinho, Cherki and possibly Semenyo are going to be like in a title race. And no idea whether Rodri will stay fit.

Not saying we can’t do it, but we have a lot of title inexperience where we just don’t know how they’re going to react and perform.

4 points behind if we win today, still got to play them at home, still plenty to play for. PIGMOB our biggest worry, the time management from Kavanagh yesterday from a supposedly professional ref was disgraceful

I don´t know why people expect us to win 15 in a row with this team or Arsenal to crumble every year...

Going to be a nightmare for me getting home there are 2 trains ,1 leaves 20 mins into the second half and then not another until ten to 9. At least those at home will be wrapped up warm .no need for this ko time today.

Slept bang in the middle of this page for me is an advert with a quote by Ranulph Fiennes 'there is no such thing as bad weather only inappropriate clothing'. Made me laugh as I had just read your comment.

Agree with all of that but we do have Pep who masterminded all of the above to achieve greatness. He knows what it takes and how to instil the mentality.
