Chelsea Are A Major Threat

Why do people get there knickers in a twist SO early in the season.. Long way to go still everyone will have a patch of games when they play the "easier" teams! Just think though if we beat Chelsea tomorrow what a kick in the teeth for the chasing pack and would put Chelsea out of the equation

If City can make it to new year on top after having played the rags, Spurs, Chelsea and the red dippers away plus Arsenal at home, that's a fantastic achievement and should set us up very nicely to bring the title back to Manchester for the first time since 68. Only Arsenal will have played so many of their big games away from home, and so, using the run of games logic seen here, are the bigger threat. The other sides, Chelsea included, have tougher games in the second half of the season - on paper at least, than us.

Not the most logical argument in the world as we still have those same fixtures to come.

Kind of my point but your brain is in better working order than mine. If we win these next 2 minimum it will be a big step in our campaign.

I think we will win comfortably. Aguero has missed umpteen chances in his last 3 games, but is getting sharper and sharper. And they defend high up the pitch, which can be suicide against us. They'd be better off parking the bus but AVB won't do that. We should start with Johnson on the right in my view, Dzeko up top and Aguero in behind and I can see it being 4-2 City with Aguero bagging at least 2.

In their last couple of games they've changed their tactics so they've defended deep and playing on the counter attack, with the results going their way since. Given how that is the kind of tactic that has brought the most problems to us, I imagine the match will be much more difficult for us to succeed in than you suggest.

Although I'm still sure we can win. Of course ;)

There is no way they are going to play that high line they have been doing against us. If they do, Silva will have a field day slicing their defence in half. I noticed they abandoned it the other day against Valencia. They like to play the ball out through that single holding midfielder so playing Yaya in a more advanced role will definitely give whoever it is something to think about. I would also possibly play Kolarov instead of Clichy. I am a bit undecided!

0-0 draw will suit me just fine for this game.
