Chelsea Thread 2014/15

I agree but it isn't his fault that he gets away with it, Sky knew what he was going to go on about(with the exception of the Costa bit which they could have sidestepped anyhow with a bit of thought), as he has been bleating about it for ages the media who are paid to do a job could do two things

Don't give him the platform

Do their homework and make him look silly

Instead they chase the controversy, football is about many things other than winning or losing, the passion, the heated debates, the injustices, the rivalry

Mourinho, GPC, cantona, ballotelli etc they all add or added to it, it would be a duller place without them

Enjoy it, it is football
No it isn't, it's the weird pantomime TV that Sky have turned football coverage into. Football is that sport played on the pitch for 90 minutes, the other stuff is just a WWF style sideshow.[/quote]

So you didn't watch it, or comment about it on a forum, or have a debate with your mates in the pub about something that wasn't directly about what happens in those 90 minutes of football

We all do it

I agree with the post you made in the duplicate thread
Our football media, in the main, is wank
Therefore I no longer part with my hard earned to listen to sycophants and mugs 'talk' about football

I've heard better discussions at the match and read better analysis on here at times

Fair play to you i concede your stance, too many on here froth at the mouth far too easily, i can listen to Jose or Van Gaal because they entertain me even when talking shit, people like Martinez though it is just a pointless exercise in blandness and dull management speak

Having spent the week in France and watching their coverage it is far superior as it treats the viewer as if they actually understand the game and would like an even greater depth and knowledge.
Tactics and plays are explained and dissected for the viewer

Here we get sensationalism and tit bits from former pros seemingly sharing a brain cell.

It's no coincidence that Murdoch's hand has guided The Sun and Sky to where they are, with a wafer thin shred of shit between them

What concerns me the most is that the media is lending a degree of credibility to all this "campaign"
nonsense rather than the ridicule that it actually warrants. The more Moaninho goes on about it the more they seem to be accepting what he says. It's only a matter of time before they start getting some seriously dodgy decisions in their favour.

I can't believe the amount of pundits who have said that Matic should not have had a red for his retaliation. They've all basically said that if you are on the receiving end of a bad tackle, then it's fine to run around and start decking the perpetrator. Deluded bunch of cunts. Mourinho has them all eating out of his hands.
