I know he has these strong opinions simply because he's so dull and pointless to be allowed to sit on the fence, but that is drivel even by his standards. Let's tell all of the children growing up, playing sport, or simply on the playground - that if you get hurt or someone does something nasty to you - go and give them a slap... what nonsense. It looks an awful challenge but football is played at high speeds - a split second earlier he gets foot on ball and passes it, a split second later he breaks Matic's leg... fine lines but that doesn't mean the intent to injure is there and that's what is crucial in sport.

this doesn't help us at all, especially since it's just one league game. You take him out for 3 league games I think we make up points in a major way.There's a reason John Terry looks 10 years younger and Gary f'ckin Cahill has (mostly) been good.

The FA have set a very dangerous precedent now - violent conduct retaliation is now a 2 game ban. They have not made a judgement on the challenge but one based on the referee`s match performance.
The result was either an extra game ban or a reduction, leaving it at 3 games was not an option. They have took the shithouse decision.
