Chelsea Thread (2015-16)

How long has Jose ever stayed at one club? Three years at most I reckon and he's been back for two already. I wonder what odds you can get on him fucking off in a sulk or getting shown the door by Roman for being a bell end before the season ends?

Surely he would never have got through it in the first place ;-)

He will be out on his arse before or by the end of this season if things aren't going their way. And I guarantee if he is, he rocks up at United when they're done with LVG.

Chelsea established elite club? Lol. Yes they were a decent side, Mathew Harding wasn't exactly short of a few quid. I remember going to the bridge and they got crowds of 14k... Deluded cunts.

Chelsea were similar to us. Some great history, but lying dormant for long periods. Admittedly we made a total hash of things in the 80's and 90's and they were much more stable, but they were certainly not an elite club. They've done well, and now they're a great side, like us. They're had a good few years head start on us though, and it tends to show (certainly in Europe).
They're a damn fine side right now, and will be serious contenders, and arguably rightful favourites. I think we can give the title a good go though (as can a couple of other clubs).

It's all to play for, and a we're going to have our fair share of games like Swansea too. But two points dropped by a rival is always welcome. Nothing disrespectful about that.

Chelsea looked like us under bobby manc the season after we won the league.
they`ve looked disjointed all pre season and yes it`s only the first game of the season but there are signs that they look well off it.

The rags turned their noses up at him once and it cost them big time. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to do it again. Mourinho managing the scum would be a match made in heaven for the media. They love him and they love the rags. They'd have to raise the Thames barrier for the sea of jizz coming out of London when he rocks up at the swamp.

Too early to judge. At times today they looked excellent too. Opening fixtures are always odd games. I didn't see anything 'weak' in Chelsea today other than not fully up and running yet - which may be something we ourselves suffer from.

Thought this too , it was almost identical to the game we played against Southampton opening day off that season

If we win on Monday, mourinho will be parking the bus next week more than we have ever seen before. No way will he accept being 5 points behind us, even more so if arsenal win both of their games too

We'll soon find out, on Monday night. I never see anything that great about them either.
No doubt they are an excellent side, but the way the media crack on about them, you'd
think they were this unstoppable machine managed by, a cross between Zeus and
Albert Einstein.

They're a solid side. Not as sexy as Arsenal or us in full flow, but they're champions and rightly so from last season. Best all round team.
Agree about the media. Sky was a swooning over them for a lot of the game today. Had they been putting Swansea to the sword I'd have understood it, but they weren't.
I'd say us at our very best are better than they are at their best, but they seem to manage poor games better than us and salvage something from nothing.
They are nothing to fear, but I think there's mutual respect between the teams - in terms of knowing we're a threat to each other.
