Sounds like Chelsea are up for sale.
In a perfect world they'd be bought by mike Ashley, but itll more likely be someone like jeff Bezos or Elon musk.

It sounds to me like it could be a group of investors like an American style consortium.

Chelsea are finished. The buyers are apparently Americans or the Swiss Guy with a Consortium.

They won't have the Money now they used to

An American consortium consisting of three high ranking businessmen want to buy Chelsea apparently, they see the club as a good investment. They are fucked it won’t be trophies as priority anymore it will be top 4.

It's a wait and see game for me right now. Everything is happening so fast. I might have to readjust my expectations for Chelsea though.

They're absolutely in play it seems and a Swiss billionaire says he's been approached to gauge his interest in buying them but the price is too high. They'll have to repay Abramovich the £1.5bn they owe him if he demands it and I can't see him not requesting that. The question is whether sanctions will let Chelsea or their new owners transfer that money.

Their glory days could well be over.

Daft question. Say someone buys Chelsea and pays Abramovich his 1.5bn. Can he access it, otlr does it not just get frozen with his other assets if he is sanctioned.

Always felt Chelsea don’t have the infrastructure in place like we do. To the point where if Abramovich left, they’d be in the shit quite quickly. My understanding is that he still props them up quite a bit through interest free loans. They’ve also failed to build a modern stadium during his near 20 years in charge which may become more of an issue once he isn’t running things any more.
