Ultimate banter club. The way they're run is a joke. And it's not as if, unlike Spurs, they've known no success over the last decade. Football clubs are owned by businessmen who don't understand that football is an organic process, and it has to be nurtured.

Hope he doesn’t end up at Spurs! Think he’ll thrive under the confidence of being in control, which he wasn’t at Chelsea.

Not so sure he would do anything at spurs either. Suspect he needs a small pond playing against teams as the underdog.

He was in control at Chelsea in that he picked the team and he has made some strange decisions - Badashile looks decent but he was dropped for cucurella in a back 3 against villa (we dodged a bullet there) and then against Everton the other week he made some very odd subs when defending a lead with 5 mins to play. Either a death wish or out of his depth. I can see him going to Leicester or more likely Southampton.

18 new players since the summer with transfers and loans returning, most of them potter had no involvement in, new owner, entire new backroom staff, Players on lengthy contracts. Nothing left to salvage this season, and they sack him a little over 6 months into a supposed long term project. Seems mental to me. Why not just give him the season at least?

I think chelsea have good foundations within that bloated squad but it's going to take time to get it to the standard they need to be at and he's just shown you don't get it. you'd have to be mad to take the job now if you're a top class manager in demand. That chelsea job only becomes attractive once somebody else has been in, they've off loaded their deadwood, clawed back some money to spend and got the squad settled down.
