I fancied chelsea to get the job done against arsenal in the league cup semi final under Maresca, can't see that happening now, feels like Arsenal have just got a free pass to the final.

So if I was to look up all the shortest-tenured managers in PL history, how many do you think will have been sacked by American owners? Giving managers barely any time is hardly an American thing - it's a football thing.

Supposedly the rumours are that he fell out with the medical staff. Surely they would know better about players fitness & injury issues, unless hes getting pressure from above to give players game time so they can be sold on & monetised

The crazy thing is the new Manager will probably sign a three or four year contract and will almost certainly spend the last two years getting paid handsomely to sit at home doing eff all.

I don't feel strongly about Maresca either way but it's clear the higherups at Chelsea are woefully incompetent.

Rosenior seems like a ridiculous hire for them. Young manager and young team.

Not even the same. At least Abramovich's motivations were out of ambitions for trophies, BlueCo is just finding the next yes man.

Like the rest of the yank owners they just see their club as way to make money. When your business model is to buy players to sell on for a profit why are they then surprised that the team does poorly and then sack the manager. Must be a pisser being a Chelsea fan these days.

Been saying it for a few years now. They are the biggest danger to our game and the problem is that we now can't regain it as there has been too much infiltration.
