I still can't believe folk really think he will field his best 11 and go all out for a win which will still give them fucks chance of winning the title.
 
Salah Matic Lampard and Obi Mikel look certain to play because of suspension or cup tied.

Schwarzer will play to get minutes in.

Hazard will play to get minutes in.

Other than that, the squad will be made of fringe players and some first team. They are not travelling to madrid anyway so a 3 day gap is manageable, no flights.

Maureen will hope for palace or newcastle to grab a win. Or both to result in draws, or a palace win and a newcastle draw. Upsets happen and he has been on the other end of it a few times.
 
Do Chelsea have a weakened team? No matter how much the media peddle the myth about our squad they easily have the strongest one.


edit: Just remembered didnt Mick McCarthy get fined for fielding a weaker team against the rags?
 
Chelsea don't have a weaker team, scwartzer, ivanavich, luis, Cahill, cole, lampard, mikel, matic, salah, Oscar, Torres that is what a lot of Chelsea sites seem to be guessing at, that side cost around £200million, a lot more than lfc's Chelsea can field 2 sides that would probably challenge the top four.
 
Also he will rue his judgment if he did field a weakened team and lost, only to see liverpool stumble to the finishing line without winning the last two games.

It is a superb squad
I just think he will hold back his best 11 for the CL second leg,that's not to say the team that plays the dippers still can't get something.

Their squad is superb, it does look like terry and Cech are out, but a back four of ivanavich, Cahill, cole and luis is still as strong as any back four in the country, in midfield, matic, salah, mikel and lampard will definately play as they aren't available for Wednesday. This game is going to be very very hard I am not one of the blinkered fans who thinks we will roll over them, love him or hate him moanrinho is second to none, as a red this is hard no matter who he fields.
 
to be fair they will need to, if not Chelsea will piss all over Liverpool and the scousefest may have the wheels come off.
the divers need all the help they can get, been that way all season.
 
As per Premier League rules he should be fined and disciplined for fielding a weakened side.
