Chelsea U21 v City U21 Tonight

Some of the former 18s like Drury and Lopes (people thought he was ready for first team squad, he's only 16 and not even close) struggling at this level so far, should improve as the season goes on.

Chelsea look to strong for us

This team has been putting in these type of performances all the way through the youth cup.
The team passes well, but, sometimes turning it into goals has been a problem

-- Fri Aug 17, 2012 7:52 pm --

looks like we have a young side out however

Most Chelsea players playing today are 18/19 & under, don't forget this is an u21 league.

It's a shame to read some of the comments regards to this match.

The result is unimportant, the fact we are getting battered means the team is more likely to learn alot more than if say they just ran riot with a 10-0 game.

Lombardo even said this himself, the result is not important.

We can't seem to keep the ball. Lopes looks stranded. Rusnak has gone missing. Suarez isn't getting any support and thereefore getting crowded out. Evans is getting outnumbered and the whole defence has looked shaky. Piazon for them looks a class above our lot.

Suarez,Hiwula,Helan and maybe Evans the pick of a pretty poor bunch. Our defence is shocking,no cohesion at all,Facey is awful,he seems to have forgotten even the basics.

Henshall could do some damage.
