Did t take long... LeSaux... "CITY have disrespected the cup"

I missed the bit where he discussed how Ushited totally disrespected it by refusing to take part.
I miss Utd refusing to take part this season. I was under the impression they play tomorrow.

Rubbish.
Three full days to recover ?
Tonight's game finishes at 6PM, I expect they have travelled by train, as they usually do for London games, so they won't be back into Manchester until at least 10pm tonight, and most not home until 11pm.
Tomorrow will be a recovery day for those involved today, the rest will train at some stage tomorrow. Possible travel to Kiev later tomorrow.
Tuesday will be an early flight if not travelling later tomorrow, 5 hour flight isn't it ? May well train late in the day on their pitch, but time also required to recover from flight.
Wednesday, light training, meal, match.
Then add in that the game finishes in Kiev at 9:45pm UK time, so won't be leaving until at least 11:30pm to arrive back in Manchester at 4-5am Thursday, so no training likely.
Friday, training.
Saturday travel to Wembley hotel, and train.
Sunday a Cup final.

Oh and we have 13 fit first team players remember.
1800 today until 1945 Wednesday is more than 72 hours you'll find.

I meant from the clubs point of view where this decision originates, I know we have very little chance of winning the champions league

The decision is the manager's. He has no reason to listen to others, because he will be gone in the summer.

Don't let what pundits says worry you. It has just made their day easier as gives them something to talk about. Bradford beat Chelsea last season. Anything can happen.

Makes me laugh..
It's usually "the kids don't get a chance at City"
We give em a chance and get ripped for it.
Oh and before I forget.... Fuck off shearer!

The dickhead of a manager! We were home to Hull City and Palace in the League Cup. He only played the kids after we had the game won both times.

Playing four of them today would have been okay.

We're we in a final the following week when we played Hull? We're we travelling to Kiev for a knock out tie in the Champions League?

Our strongest xi would have probably lost, our injury list is ridiculous. Would you risk Aguero or Kompany in this? I wouldn't.
Odds are Mangala, Sagna, Delph, Bony, Navas would have all played, we only have 12 fit outfield senior pro's. Injury or fatigue could lead to David Faupala starting a cup final.

Pellegrini has just explained it, it's seems obvious to me. As he said, with a few less injuries and better scheduling he'd have played a stronger side.

Imagine the statement it would send out about our EDS and youth set-up as a whole if this team put in a performance today.

If any of these lads score, I'll be delighted, regardless of the final score.
