Cheltenham 2025

If favourites are your thing you could have a Goliath bet.

TUE - Kopek Des Bordes
TUE - Majborough
TUE - Constitution Hill
WEDS - Ballyburn
WEDS - Jonbon
THUR - Fact to File
THUR - Teahupoo
FRI - Galapin Des Champs

20p Goliath costs £49.40 and if they all win you’ll clear a grand.

You’d be unlucky if at least 5 of these didn’t win.
I'm sure you've seen enough of the Festival over the years, to know that at least 3 of those will get beat.

Hence why do the Goliath bet. Even if 5 win you’d get £150ish.
I think there will be a few surprises this year, I think GDC is the only one with no question marks, and a lot of that confidence comes from how poor the market is for the Gold Cup.

Shame fastorslow got ruled out for the season if any horse was going to serve it up to Galopin it would be him. I hope he does the 3 timer, fantastic horse.

If it was anywhere else he would be a certainty but he always seems to run 10lb below his best at Cheltenham. May still be good enough in a poor division but I'm leaving him out of the accas and taking a punt on Gaelic Warrior. He was shite at last years DRF aswell and won the Arkle on the steel

Managed to get Kopek Des Bordes at a lovely antepost price... for the wrong fucking race. Was certain he would run in the 2m4f earlier in the season.

Have a nagging feeling everyone's favorite cheating horse Langer Dan is going to suddenly grow wings and throw down a real challenge to Teauphoo in the stayers aswell
Ha! That made me smile.

I read this the other day and my thoughts were the same as yours. Might not win, but will probably show enormous improvement on what he has done so far this season, while Skelton will show total surprise at said improvement.

"Dan Skelton: Langer Dan's had a disastrous season and has run terribly - we just hope he turns up in the Stayers'"

I can't find the thread
Horses with City connected names
But PEP TALKING & BIG BERT are both running today.

I’m in Spain next week while Cheltenham is on . Does anyone know if Spain allow betting on your phone whilst in their country? My mate said you can’t bet

It depends what bookie you are with. I can use the Betfair Exchange when in Spain but not on a Wi-Fi connection. I have to connect to a Spanish network and use my data.
I used to use the Skybet, Betfred and William Hill apps and none of them allowed me to place bets in Spain at all.
Good luck.

Don’t use the app- go on google like desktop version it works ok

In fact I’ve actually deleted the app then put it back on when I get home - deffo works on Google chrome anyway

Make sure you win a few quid though helps cover the following months bill when you run out of data on 5g haha

Constitution Hill currently around 4-6 at the moment could be made to look a staggering bet in time. I'm waiting to see if it drifts any more. I know there's been a lot of money from Ireland on the 2nd fav but in my most humble of opinion, if this horse stays up, it wins.

I wouldn't back him if it drifts. Had loads of health problems that horse and there's no reason for it not to go off 1/4 if it's even 90% fit it's in a whole different league to everything else.

I reckon State Man will reverse the form with Elliots mare and Lossie will beat them both. A fit Constitution Hill is a whole different calibre of animal.

I was actually looking at State man for place only, which works out better than CH price. But CH running anywhere near its best wins it. Hendersons a canny fucker when it comes to putting word out on his horses. You sometimes have to take it with a large pinch of salt.
