It was an ok performance from us considering we had a tough game vs Villa a few nights back. That was a game of their lives effort from Cheltenham.

ten of those players didn't start against villa

To be fair the balls he put into the box weren't that bad. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough of them. He should be bullying L2 fullbacks. Pretty much the same for Mahrez.

There's nothing in Mendy's performance tonight that should result in anyone's knickers gettin' in twist. Vey unlucky not to have opened the scoring.

First half was awful, apart from Foden. Very hard to single out any player, but some always have to find their scapegoats. All quiet on the Gundogan front, these days

Well played Cheltenham: a low block, not a bad amount of skill and a goal to put a wry smile on your face. Naturally, they began to time waste and I sense they lost their rhythm. Some wise substitions, a sense of urgency and some clinical finishing and its Swansea in the next round. Pep out!!

Murphy said their timewasting was acceptable. Not sure hed have the same view if Zack wouldve timewasted at 2-1.

Thought Mendy was terrible tonight, couldn't control any ball and was tackling after almost every touch....good strike at goal but overall not good enough. When Pep took him off we played better.
