So many groups from that 70's era were quality ..... Stylistics , Chi-Lites , Detroit Emeralds , Tavares , Shalamar , Sister Sledge .... you could go on and on.

He did a whole lot more than just being the inspiration and driving force behind Chic.
And guess who produced Daft Punk's recent number 1 hit? Yep: Nile Rodgers.

Eugene 'Booker' Record of the Chi-Lites was an excellent songwriter ....

can't really say i'd ever really taken much notice of 'Daft Punk' ...... that was until i found myself tapping my foot in the car this very morning to that catchy number one record of theirs that you speak of !
