Given the announcement today that Chinese state TV is no longer allowing the premier league to be shown. And the souring of relations. Could this have any impact on us given the relatively recent investment into the CFG by a Chinese group?

Or does it put us in a better position against our rivals (wasn’t our investment with a tv network in China anyway?)

Despite the 'Media' part of the name they're the equity and investment arm of China.

What it means for us is any ones guess, it's certainly way above my head and pay grade.

Doubt it as the investment was CFG & not us solely..
Others may have a different approach.

CCTV their BBC not showing any of the final round but they are on PPTV, and doesn't mean none will be shown in the future. Only six games available to watch in China on Sunday:

26 Jul 16:00 Arsenal vs Watford Premier League
26 Jul 16:00 Burnley vs Brighton & Hove Albion Premier League
26 Jul 16:00 Chelsea vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Premier League
26 Jul 16:00 Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur Premier League
26 Jul 16:00 Everton vs AFC Bournemouth Premier League
26 Jul 16:00 Leicester City vs Manchester United Premier League

The current deal is for 2 more years and likely to be worth about £6m a year per club, and if CCTV don't want to renew another broadcaster probably will.
