I will talk to some .cn lads who run a chinese ftp i am on.

Not looking good for daisy, i will read up in a bit on any changes to ip security in China.
Your ip does not respond to ping or tracert and nobody in the scene knows anything and if anyone would know these changes it is us.

Now the only people i know with ip's like that are me when i am on a secure anon vpn, other people in ftp scene and some goverment agencies.

No way would anyone use such measures on a regular www forum.

lol i just got a result back and every historical report shows this is an undesirable ip with spam and all sorts going through it. This tells me this is a proxie and i am 90% sure your a troll :)

Still i will confirm when i get home.

Not quite Columbo, it's no secret there are restrictions on internet access in China and using a vpn is pretty much normal practice for foreign establishments and it's employees. I can save you all the hassle and work and let you know I subscribe to a vpn from Astrill, it costs around £5 a month and you can choose in which country to have your isp. Obviously it would appear as un undesirable ip as there are lots of people using it I assume. I have switched between a Chinese isp and a Hong Kong isp tonight for ease of access to certain sites. You might be surprised to learn that the Chinese ip works best for me as it's the quickest. I normally just leave it on and switch between China and Hong Kong so I can get access to certain western sites and Chinese sites. If you really want me to I will pm you or even just post here with my vpn turned off and it will show as China Unicom Beijing. No surprises, I have nothing to hide.

Let me know what you'd like to do Clouseau.

The use of the words Columbo, Clouseau, PM's confirm that you are about as Chinese as i am. Your not very good at this are you?

Well Bert Kwouk who played Cato was from Manchester but i presume due to his appearance he was of Oriental persuasion.

Daisy may have had a crush on Bert?

Only if he's cooked and served with a nice sweet and sour sauce.

It is a popular vps/n provider in .cn as i have mates who use it.
That said, it is so cheap that many use it just on a whim to troll or avoid ip bans.

Continued use of their domestic ip will show they are legit.

The photobucket account has troll stamped all over it.

That was the biggest indicator for me Columbo, the fact that the account is only 2 days old and only has the pictures that have been put on here in it.

That and because the file size of the pictures was small considering it appeared to be a professional photoshoot. 80kb is tiny for photo's of that quality.

Although admittedly, having looked it up, flickr can apparently compress photos if they're uploaded in a certain way. So I'm not gonna dwell on that one too long.

Another poster quoted Columbo and I looked him up, not a big fan of Clouseau but always loved Cato. What exactly do you think we do or see in China?

I don't understand all this IP and VPN talk. I pay BT my monthly fee for my broadband. Am I given an IP and VPN?
Why are you talking about £5 monthly fees and stuff? I don't get it.

This is separate bud, basically chuck them a few quid, and you get a secure tunnel from home to the net that hides your real ip and info.

I know .cn is a bugger for net stuff but to use a vpn to go on a simple forum ? very fishy.
If you wanted to watch hulu etc you get a usa based one and so on.
