Chinese Consortium invests $400m in CFG

Thanks for posting that. Hugely enjoyable ! At least one person has begun to grasp the enormity of what is going on. He lets himself down, though, with his preposterous extrapolations. Relevant to the bombing of Syria ? Not really sure on that one matey. I am particularly enjoying the way supporters of the cartel clubs elevate themselves to moral guardianship not just of football but of society as a whole, God bless them.

I must confess, I was sceptical about our ability to catch up and overtake United in terms of revenue in the foreseeable future, simply because their income is so high.

It suddenly seems perfectly plausible that we can do it now though. The revenue streams coming out of China are going to be substantial.

I don't think a lot of our fans have even got the significance of this.

I said earlier...whilst Ed Woodward was on the blower to Bill Kenwright trying to knock a few quid off the price of his left back, the President of China was on hold waiting for Mansour to finish his morning run and take his call.
This! Also, lets not forget our dear Mr Cameron who was DESPERATE to be involved & it wasn't to get a few selfies for his almanac I'm sure - this may be bigger than even our most informed commentators realise - and amazingly, nothing gets leaked to the mucky media!

Same here but that's because the people running our club are so much smarter than I am. What we are doing is inconceivable to most people so I feel no shame in that. What I particularly enjoy is that we diminish our rivals with each piece of innovation. Where do the rags, dippers, Arsenal etc go from here. Moving into virgin commercial territory we can cherry pick the best opportunities and partners so the best they can hope to do is follow in our wake and try to copy us and because of that, they will always be behind us.

Even if we fail on the pitch in the short term, it's literally "a pinch". Failing to qualify for the CL for example I always thought would be a disaster. In fact, what we are seeing develop makes us failure-proof in the long-term. It's a truly beautiful thing.

The bitter ramblings of a clueless wanker.

It's like a game of Manchester City bingo that "article", he's managed to get in something about City cheating on the movement of players, the human rights issues in Abu Dhabi, City being owned by a "dictator", dodgy accounting to get around FFP and our deals not being at market value.

What a dick.

What a ****.

Fixed that for you mate ;)

He's a constant source of amusement for me. The only real surprise is that it took him 48 hours to pen an article about it - normally he's on to things regarding our club a lot sooner. Some cracking comments from blues below the article by the way.

The strongest I can find is this from shadow sport minister Clive Efford. “I don’t think Sun Jihai’s record justifies his selection for the hall of fame. I think it’s a grubby little fix and I think this sort of thing has gone on around football for far too long, where money has dictated what’s happened and not what goes on, on the football field.”

I think the shadow sports minister is referring to buying a place in the top division
