Chinese State Visit to CFA (23/10/2015)

I live in HouJie (Dongguan) and have never seen anyone in a City shirt whilst on this town... until last night!!! President Xi has influenced so many to wear sky blue. Knock on effect!!! This is exciting!
That's because they don't want people seeing them wear sky blue and think about emigrating and escaping that god forsaken land. If any of them are City fans at all they would leave all their home kits (authentic or fake) at home.

My daughter was one of the ones playing on the pitch at the academy yesterday. Club have her a full kit with Mcfc written in Chinese on the back. She was on news at ten and is on the official site.

Brilliant day for our club and city
Wow, that's amazing. What a keep sake as well. Did you not try and get in on the selfie?

Let's keep kicking on! In 5 or 10 yeas we will be getting 60, 70 maybe approaching 80k crowds. We will have won many title and honours and rightfully recognised as a European super power. It is happening and they all know it. We are currently the 8th best supported club in Europe and rising.

The area will also continue to improve and we are ahead of the rags in so many areas. Long may it continue.

Quite apt that it was the Chinese leader who visited rather than Obama, Merkel or Putin. Thinking about it if City were a major country we'd be China right now.

As well as Acton28`s view of how this went down in China, are there any other Blues who live/work in China or have Chinese connections who can give a broader view how Xi Jinpings visit to City was received and the reactions to Sergios brill selfie with Xi and Cameron.
If we beat the scummies tomorrow coupled with the euphoria of Xi`s visit we could well be shifting a great deal more shirts out there.

5live did an in-depth report on it from the Chinese perspective on up all night. It should be on iplayer. Opened by saying the chinese president was disappointed as he's a rag *(Quelle Surprise!)

Strange that the British media is saying he is a rag fan when there is no account of that in Chinese press. Not sure if they are rag influenced or if there is really something in that. I can read Chinese and all it is known is that XI is a football fan. He has visited other clubs in France, Germany before when on official visits. There is no indicating he likes the rags at all in official Chinese media. He is also a fan of other sports like basketball but he has stated before of wanting to clean up the terrible state of Chinese football. Club level football over there has improved but the national team is still a shambles. Anyway this is good development for the Club. Hopefully we can take advantage of the increased exposure it has given us.

Quite amusing to see two of my old mates hobnobbing with the Chinese President.

Quite amusing, that you're forever using China's occupation of Tibet as a whataboutery justification for Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian territory, seems you have a penchant for oppressive regimes.
