Just a little moan, but was anybody else surprised that just a week after the most talked about decision i can remember(with 99% of non Man U fans thinking it disgracefull) that Chris Foy was not only not reprimanded, but actually given a match on sky?

i think they get allocated matches irrespective of whether the match is on telly or not.

I personally think it would be good to get him again. You never know he may have realised he was a bit harsh and be lenient with us next time. Or is that just wishful thinking?

He didn't do anything wrong to be repremanded for. In the eyes of the law of the game he did the right thing. It is the law of the game that needs changing.

Its that challenge that has been the talking point though, and if i'm not mistaken that's what was in the OP, about the most talked about decision of recent times. They had to uphold the decision, we all knew that was gonna happen. But in the past the FA have reprimanded refs and demoted them to lower leagues after upholding appeals. Anybody who knows anything about football knows he ruined the match(which i'm sure you agree with) but to me it feels like rubbing salt in the wound, especially after he said he got it wrong to Bobby after the game, which IMO is the only reason we appealed!

If he actually said this after the game he should have put it his match report, then he should have had the red card overturned. If a ref in the past makes the wrong decision and acknowledges it in his report it is ordinarily rescinded

Agreed, but it was verbal and didn't make it to the report. The point i'm trying to make is, letter of the law or not it was a major decision that most neutrals thought was wrong, in the past week we have seen many worse challenges go completely unpunished, if we were to clone Chris Foy and he were to take charge of all games would we end up with 5 a side? No thats just not gonna happen, but we(city) seem to get the shitty end of the stick! When Mario got sent off against LFC, he'd made 2 challenges within a few mins of coming on, now had he started the game he'd of had 2 warnings! And when we played LFC at home, there had been loads of bad challenges early on, warning after warning were given, but with Barry's first tackle he got booked, then sent off later. Like i say shitty end of the stick!

Agreed, another thing that got my goat was that if old bacon face is supposed to know so much about football how come he agreed that it was a sending off? The rest of the world thought it was a bad decision, but not him! Or is that y he's so "great" cos he knows what nobodyelse doe's?

The decision to fail the appeal was all about closing ranks, protecting refs. In my view however they should have listened to the appeal, state that Foy was right 'technically' to give the red card, but reduce the penalty due to the fact that Komps got the ball cleanly and no contact was made. But unfortunately they are spineless, clueless morons who have done themselves no favours, especially after Johnson's tackle.
