In my view however they should have listened to the appeal, state that Foy was right 'technically' to give the red card, but reduce the penalty due to the fact that Komps got the ball cleanly and no contact was made. But unfortunately they are spineless, clueless morons who have done themselves no favours, especially after Johnson's tackle.

Your right there! but if you read BaconChops after match interview he said that Kompany does that tackle a lot! So I bet he told Rooney only that if Kompany goes in sliding get in the refs face

Chucking them sly buggers into the fires of mount doom would be considered an action worthy of many medals and much honour.
I forgot about baconmush saying that yeah. Sounds like he has taken methods of operation of his dodgy bent lawyer.

As I said, the challenge in our eyes, and in the eyes of most people who've spoke of it, was fine but in the eyes of Foy, it wasn't. Foy followed what he has been told are the rules, so how can he be repremanded for it? It is the ref who failed to send off Johnson who should be repremanded, that or the rules quite rightly need changing.
It has fuck all to do with being 'contrary', but like I say you're a funny guy so....

I don't know if he can but like the ref in the Johnson incident should be repremanded for failing to send him off, if Foy fucked up yesterday then he should be brought to task. This isn't me defending Foy, it could be Foy, Walton or cp30 for all I care. The OP asked why Foy got a game after the Kompany incident, and I answered his question. Not defending Foy, being contrary or indeed being a tit, as swpsback so delightfully tried to insinuate.mancboy123 said:Ok pidge how about if he cannot be reprimanded for following the rules, 2 challenges yesterday were worse than kompanys one of which was a stoods up challenge which resulted in the player being stretchered off this attracted only a yellow.
Given that he slavishly followed the rules last week and therefore cannot be reprimanded for that can he be reprimanded this week for choosing not to follow the rules?
That was my point in my first post, the rules need to change in relation to the incident in question, I.e. two footed tackles or they need to be consistent and send anyone off who does it. The FA are twats though when it comes to this, which is why the incident in question has caused so much controversy. To clarify though, Foy should be demoted or punished another way if he failed to do his job properly yesterday, but on the guidelines he has, he did his job 'correctly' on this incident raised in the OP, so he can't be done for that.mancboy123 said:Fair point but thats where the FA fail if you back him up because he follows the rules then you cannot also back him up when he doesnt.
When?collie41 said:But in the past the FA have reprimanded refs and demoted them to lower leagues after upholding appeals.
So we're repeating this Twatter rumour as gospel now then?collie41 said:especially after he said he got it wrong to Bobby after the game
