Chris Grayling - is there no beginning to this mans talents?

No Tory supporter and donor who runs a shell company is given £14m contract by Tory Govt to run a service they are not equipped to provide. Rich Tory supporting the Tories isn't a story - Seabourne Freight, its owners, Grayling and now links to the Tory party are the story.

Until such a time its confirmed that there will never be any ferries run by the company its probably best not to go all out and claim they wont be able to provide the service they tendered for and acquired.

In true brexit fashion though its only to be expected that the end of the world scenario is the go to default setting for some.

As for links between known Tories and the government? Its hardly news is it and if a Labour government comes in off the back off the support both politically and financially from the unions, what will they expect in return?

Nothing is done for nothing in this world.

Old stories but then you have to go back a bit for a Labour government but examples of how political parties will always look after the interests of those that support them.

Its not me - everybody from people in the business to people at Ramsgate say there is fucking no chance they will be able to do anything like run a ferry service from there in many many months never mind the end of March. No contracts are yet signed to procure access to the terminal - to engage contractors to open and refurbish, no operators license has been applied for and no ferries bought or leased - hardly jumping to conclusions.

Wow Labour funded by the Unions. Labour lobbies by the Unions. Labour a party set up by the Unions and that has MP's in parliament sponsored by unions. The point you are swerving and deflecting from is none of that is news - its the whole history of the Labour Party for over 100 years. In fairness the same happens to the Tories only instead of the Unions its the rich and powerful clique who do it. And unlike the Unions activities it is often clandestine and secret - a bit like what is coming out over this now ........... I mean if there was nothing untoward why didn't the announcement on day one simply say one of the contracts had gone to a UK start up business with no ships or terminal access at that point and had one board member who was a party donor? I mean as is the way of these things it comes out anyway - you'd almost think they had something to hide......

Their website would have you believe they are up and running now - I suspect someone just read this and assumed they were kosher from which point the people folded companies owing tax couldn't believe their luck. I wonder why we don't ask for the tax we own - and then sign a contract with them? If I owe the Govt and don't pay I get visited by bailiffs not given a load of cash and asked if I'd like to try again ffs

PMSL - its a con. Grayling is a clueless charlatan wasting taxpayers money on party donors.

The man is the master of fuck up's the real life Frank Spencer of parliament, he defies all logic of why he has not been sacked. As Justice minister alone everything he introduced was a cluster fuck

1. Banning books for prisoners
He spent £72,000 defending a High Court challenge to his ban on family members sending books to prisoners.

Grayling spent £72K to prevent prisoners reading- that’s 12020 copies of Great Expectations
2. Criminal court charges

The Tories scrapped ‘unfair’ criminal court charges of up to £1,000 which critics said would make innocent people plead guilty, after more than 50 magistrates quit in disgust.

He masterminded an ill-fated £5.9m deal with Saudi Arabia to run a training programme for prisons, which was dropped after public outcry.

4. Prisoner tagging scheme

A £23 million prisoner tagging scheme he unveiled was also axed, after the firm he awarded the contract to failed to deliver on the hardware.

6. Legal aid for prisoners

Cuts to legal aid for existing prisoners were ruled “unlawful and unfair”.

7. Privatising prisons

Plans to privatise three prisons were dropped within months of being announced, in the fallout from the electronic tagging scandal.

Shamed security firm Serco to hand back almost £70million following prisoner tagging scandal
8. Tribunal fees

Today's ruling ridiculed the government’s misunderstanding of “elementary economics, and plain common sense”, when it claimed higher fees would mean increased demand."

In their judgement, they ruled the fees had a "deterrent effect upon discrimination claims, among others” and put off more genuine cases than so-called ‘vexatious’ claims the government claimed the fees were supposed to deter.

The government now has to pay back about £27 million in unlawful fees.

...and here's another one that could be on the way.

With a CV like that would anyone in the right mind employ this fuckwit?

But this did make me laugh out very loudly Tory MP Nigel Evan crying over failing Graylings changes to legal aid (which Evans voted for by the way).
