Christmas Island nuclear tests

My father-in-law was on Christmas Island. He died last year, from a degenerative leukemia blood issue. He had no other health issues ever, but it was there eating away at him, till it tipped over the edge and he rapidly went down hill in his last year.

I joined the mailing list of the legal campaign for justice. It’s too late for him, and it is too late for most of the poor souls who have suffered for being human experiments. There are few servicemen left… let alone indiginous people (Australia, Christmas Island), who can tell their story, before they get some sense of apology or recompense.

The government of the day were right c*nts to British troops and Aboriginal people.

Still watching it now… just got to the point about many generations from those exposed having issues… and Mrs JASR is having an unusual undiagnosed medical issue currently .. :-(

And now got to the point in the recording that they did take blood tests of their ‘labrats’, despite 30 years of denial by govt/MoD that they had…

Tends to be the way with governments in general. The UK also conducted biological warfare experiments along the Dorset Coast throughout the mid 50s to the 70s. That was bad enough but some of the things the American government did to the general population were horrific. Sadly Wikipedia has a page on it which makes pretty grim reading
