He talks like Everton have been winning trophys, I dont understand his message, copy Everton and maybe finish 4th once in 10 years!

I think he means that we have stuck with our manager and built a team up over a number of years who is not far behind you with far less money spent.

that's only because you haven't had the money to spend, or else you would of.
its getting pretty tiresome this moral high ground.
don't get me wrong moyes has served you well. but don't tell me given the chance to spend spend spend he wouldn't do it

Of course he would but I think he'd do it a little more cautiously than perhaps Hughes did. He's always been very stubborn with any money we get and he'd rarely pay over what he thought a player was worth.

I was talking about the board sticking with him. There's fans like that in every fan base, I think I even saw a thread on here a while back calling for Mancini's head a few matches in. I'm not a fan of David Moyes's tactics and whilst I appreciate what he has done for us I don't think his tactics can bring us much success. He is however the best manager I believe we can get in our position and I don't mind sticking with him at least until (or if ever) we find investment.

JEEZ, another thread about Everton, a City forum with such an obsession with us is becoming very weird.

With this forum and the matchday forum i count 9 topics about Everton, the team, the ground, the manager, and the players, it really is sad.

Patience and a good manager can get you to the same point. Taking your time can match whatever money can do

Hmm, as i remember Ferguson was on the brink of the sack at Utd and only the FA cup win kept him in a job there. And of course the rest is history with Utd outspending the rest year in year out, so when your buying the best its easy to win everything and keep your manager. Back then they had no serious competition with thier finances, these days its alot harder.
If time matches money, how comes since Sky, the biggest spenders have always finished near the top and those who dont spend alot are mid table. Doesnt seem a match to me.
Anyhow, let them all speak, just pin up the articles in our dressing room before the game

hypothetical so we don't know, you know the reasons for hughes big spending spree and why it was done that way.
i'm pretty sure with a king ransom moyes would do the same, board pressure would dictate

Well you lot have been spending big for a few years now, so have Spurs and yet before this season we've been finishing above both fairly regularly.

"This is the strongest squad this club has ever had," says Neville

I think there are plenty who would disagree with this. They have a very good squad yes but best ever, hmm I don't think so.

Makes me laugh that a jumped up tit of a footballer like P. Neville thinks he can offer advice to Sheik Mansour about long term planning.

You couldn't make it up ! lol !

I know it's weird innit, almost as if we're playing against your lot tonight?
