Has its origins in the religious trying to make sex less pleasurable and encourage abstinence, it's barbaric and has no place in a modern first world country.
That said, it has its benefits in deprived third world countries with an AIDS empidemic for example, as it's been proven that circumcision greatly reduces the risk of contracting HIV/AIDS in such an environment.
But in the first world, where we have modern education, are increasingly secular, and cleanliness isn't an issue?
There's no good reason for it.
