Cisse and Wonga

he gets paid a fucking fortune because of sponsorship, cheeky fucker, wear the shirt or fuck off, which imo is what he wants,he can smell the wonga from other bigger clubs.

He wants to leave this is an excuse I mean would this mean he wouldn't play in Champions League because they're sponsored by Heinekan?

Pure nonsense he'd be better just saying Newcastle is a shite place and a shite team.

Anal, I know, but the Mirror can't even use English, the wrong form of 'practise' being used here.

Tut.

Haha I noticed that this morning, but didn't want to say anything for want of being......well.....anal :)

Go for it. Shows them for what they are. Third rate rag.

They wrote "shoe in" in an article the other day. Always make me laugh that one!

As for Cisse he's just engineering a move away, nothing more.

Precisely.

As Newcastle will be earning £6m per year from Wonga, I assume he will be willing to take a pro-rata decrease in his salary. Will he bollocks.

The whole subject matter is hypocritical nonsense anyway. Do people really believe that Islamic banks don't profit from the lending of money? Of course they do, and they're very successful at it; they just don't call it interest.

Having a payday lender plastered across replica shirts in one of the hardest recession-damaged areas in the country is a disgrace. Bolton fans didn't stand for it and the club was forced to dump QuickQuid as sponsors this week due to supporter and community protest.

These companies are vultures and target the most financially desperate and vulnerable members of our community.

I work with unemployed and low-income people in Newcastle and applaud Demba Papiss Cisse's protest. It might be rooted in his faith, but I'm glad that it might cause people to question the ethics behind Newcastle United's poor decision in accepting Wonga as their shirt sponsors.

Agree with this and well done Bolton fans for getting rid of this company who only make poor peoples lives worse.

Cisse will no doubt be allowed to wear an appropriately coloured bag as a shirt, but little does he know that his salary will be paid directly from the proceeds of the sponsor and a well-know drinks company! They make me laugh these folk - I'm a bigger blue than you, I'm a better Muslim than anyone, I've got bigger bollox and I'm a bigger bastard!

How many Muslims have refused to play CL football because one of the main sponsors happens to be an alcoholic drinks company? Surely the prize money comes in major part from the sponsors to the clubs and ends up in the players' pockets! No one, as yet, has appeared on the DEB'E radar!!

Granted the companies are legalised loan sharks but they are not to blame for humans making mistakes.

If you eat too much fast food you'll be fat.
If you gamble too much you're likely to end up in financial mess.
If you drink too much or smoke too much you're likely to suffer from illnesses or diseases.

People should be answerable for their actions instead of playing the victim and looking for a figure to blame.

Fact of the matter is short term loans are ideal for people who fail an m.o.t or something and need to fix car, use half wages and half loan which is then paid back the month after. It's like a rainy day fund for those who can't plan their lives well in a financial sense. What these loans aren't designed for is a shortfall in income to be topped up without having a payment plan in mind. Too many people simply take loans and worry later, that's ridiculous and they only have themselves to blame. Companies like this wouldn't exist unless there was a need for short term cash, the problem is the company lends to responsible and irresponsible but only get the bad headlines from the irresponsible.
