I don't know a single City fan that calls us that. It's something either the club or the media have been pushing for some reason.

I think it was like something you'd read in the Shoot annual you got at Christmas then never heard again until the next Christmas.When I started supporting City in the 70's, the nickname of the Club was The Citizens, it is nothing new

I remember it in the Park Drive book of football. AND........The littlewoods pools booklet.It isn't new, I remember the Observer book of football back in the 70s had club nicknames and our was Citizens.
