I am not suggesting City are "desperate for money", they certainly are not, you are the one who said " clubs have to make as much money as possible". I am also certain that the club receive a portion of shirt sales revenue through official outlets. I don't like being "ripped off", I only buy City related items when and if I think I am getting value for my money, if I cannot pay the price, I don't buy and have no wish to fund rip off, fake shirt sellers who contribute absolutely nothing to our club.
I suggested the prices are high because clubs have to get as much money as they can due to FFP, and that prices might be reduced if FFP didn't exist.
Dont you agree with that?
You then went on a rant against people buying fake kits for some reason. I was more meaning about ticket prices tbh but I didn't make that clear. FFP causes price rises for both though.
In the big scheme of things, big clubs make a small amount from ticket sales and a small amount from shirt sales. The majority of money a club makes from shirts is from the original deal with the manufacturer. On average its about 7.5% of each shirt sale goes to the club.

So thatd be round about £5 per shirt. You and the club would both be better off if you were to buy a fake plus a t-shirt from the club shop of something...
The prices of shirts these days is a disgrace and they only stay high because people buy them. The manufacturers know fans feel obliged to buy them and will do so whatever it looks like whatever the price and whatever it really costs them to make.
