The motivation or decision to do it as a whole may be, but if you look at it you can clearly see the design that makes up the shadow stripes in this year’s version is based on the turrets, it closely replicates them

The shirt as a whole is based on the 2003 design, which was in turn based on the 1983 design… but the incorporation of the turrets within the shadow stripe is a new addition, a stadium anniversary ‘Easter Egg’

Apart from getting the spacing of them spectacularly wrong.

If you go to the club shop it should be fine. They use a machine on-site

Should have two stars: one silver for 5 league titles and one gold for our champions league title.

This coming season we can secure our fourth league win in a row and add another silver star for another 5 titles. ;-)
