I wish we could have this bolded and pinned to every page in this thread.

Every year we have dozens grown men throwing strops over a kit because they saw a grainy, barely legible photo of a knock off kit in China laid down on the floor.

And then August swings around, we see it on the players and on models in the press releases, 90% of people think they're fine, they all sell out and the world keeps spinning.

Just come back from Turkey and there's all sorts of knock off City kits from half decent copies of the real kit to shirts I've never seen before but with a City badge on. My lad got a copy of the new shirt although they guessed wrong with the shorts colour as they are dark blue but I'm not complaining for 10 euros a pop.

That's just not true though is it? For 92 years of our existence as Manchester City, navy blue has featured on the home kit.

Most people probably know this, but the Historical Kits website is great and really accurate. Worth noting that we had navy socks between 1894 and 1951. So they're actually more traditional than sky blue ones.

It's a decent nod to our collective identity, folk will dial or key it in when calling the club for all manor of different reasons, globally.

Flashback to that nice hot summer of 1987 n the "061 We prefer to call it Manchester" sun visors n t-shirts were doing a roaring trade in Affleck's Palace n around town.

As worn by many that last match of term down at West Ham, yeah, that day.

The UCL badge is being changed slightly so they may be waiting for those to come in.

Nothing fancy, just getting a black border.
