My understanding was that the yellow/black kit is the away kit, and the maroon one is the third kit.

That's not it btw, that's one I fudged when discussing how similar it was to the original with someone. The one doing the rounds has the sponsor in white on top of a dark/navy middle strip.

Would love to see us resurrect this kit one day......
Obviously, the Kappa logos down the sleeves would have to go (changed to the Puma logo?). But that was a cracking kit, and vastly underrated. Way, way better then the Wembley monstrosity we're bringing back from the dead for the new season, in my opinion*.

2nd and 3rd is pretty irrelevant these days. We more or less pick and choose which kit to wear out of the 3 and I believe we need to make sure we wear each one a minimum number of times (might be at least 5?), so sometimes we end up not wearing the most obvious choice anyway.

Yep. Same here. It's not an original, but it's a bloody good copy....
Apparently, the white 'v' at the neck is supposed to be the same width as the white line on the collar. And the two legs of the 'v' are supposed to cross over each other. But for €50, I'm not complaining.

Strange that they've opted to have the sleeve sponsor on the replica shirts this season, but didn't last season (same sponsor, IIRC).

So me being stupid which is the new away shirt
The one with 'Etihad' on the black background is the actual new away kit. The other one was just an experiment to make it look like the original 1999 shirt, which had more yellow, or whatever that colour is.
