Apparently an offer on the table from Chelsea for McCabe. Think it would be highly likely she'd move to them over us. Her partner is remaining at Arsenal and theyve been renovating their house. Cant really see her uprooting herself unless she really has to.

Can't help feeling that Jess's season is pretty identical to last year - started off like a train and then got less effective as the season went on.
The whole narrative of this being a breakout season for her is nonsense.

Would normally agree but there's a strong feeling around Arsenal and the fanbase that the club screwed her around and denied her a proper goodbye. I think most be supportive of her doing whatever is right for her.

Unfortunately i think she'll be an excellent signing for them. An upgrade on Charles and perfect age profile to allow a pathway for Sarwie who already looks a great prospect at 17yrs old. Versatile enough to play a couple of different roles in Bompastor's 3 at the back system. Also likely to run through walls for them and bring some leadership back to the dressing room following on from Bright behaving like an absolute tit during her final season.

Spent most of the season posting embarassing tiktoks and self promoting via her podcast. Was club captain but offered no support to Hampton when Mearps attacked her in her book and then most recently caused a bit of a fuss when her podcast was promoted using a thumbnail pucture of Lauren James' red card incident aginst Nigeria. Then launched her new joint insta page with her new boyfriend (of 3 weeks) within hours of us knocking them out of the FA Cup. Most Chelsea fans i know are glad to see the back of her.

Yeah i think she was well respected and well liked for most of her career espesh by Chelsea fans but like you say, shes been surpassed by others in recent years and doesnt seem to have taken to it well compared to someone like Houghton who adapted to her more senior role at City really and was always there for her teammates.
Of the original Euros winning squad, as we've got to know the players more, Bright, Daly and Earps are the three that seem to have q chippy characters and are unsurprisingly q close to eachother. Defo stand apart from the team ethic the rest of the team built and continue to thrive on.
