I'd love to see a full list of academy graduates and what's happened to them.

Jamie 'clueless' Redknapp could only name one or two the other day as our new plans were announced, as if our academy wasn't bringing through many quality players...clueless.

We've brought through 17 Full internationals so far with Onuoha, M. Johnson, Sturridge, Schmeichel and Flood unfortunate not to be so far. Also Ibrahim, Suarez, Rekik, Guidetti, Scapuzzi, Abu and Razak all will in the future.

Dont want to sound stupid i could be completely wrong but i think ever since Jim Cassel moved on from the U18 manager its gone down hill a bit like in the competitions (Youth FA cup and U18 League title) I could be wrong

Another question to all as I have be impressed with Devante Cole's performance this season and could be appearing for the senior squad in the next 4/5 years. Which other 'son's of ex players' have come through the Academy?

That's because we're putting the emphasis on bringing players through not building great teams?

Cassell got moved on because we did well in the competitions. The problem was that the players then struggled in the 1st team squad. Cassell was asked to change his methods on the basis of a third party report they had prepared but he wasn't comfortable with that and one of his staff was leaking some very damaging stories. So he was gently eased aside. That's also why so many of his graduates have gone out on loan.

So you may find we do less well in youth cups but that players like Razak, Rekik, Suarez and the more recent Academy graduates slot into the senior squad more effectively.
